Last rideable weekend?

I'm not sure if it'll be this nice again this year. Shame, i've ridden so little in '08. Carlo came down yesterday for a visit, I met him at the border, we took a backroute home to extend the ride a bit, met Cowboy Bill & his Gal at the HD place for some free food (Oyster Run Weekend, always a party there) came home and spazzed out, went out to eat and this morning we'll head back north so he can get home.

Going to be a nice sunny day and 15000 bikes on the road for the Oyster...I'm going to mow my lawn this afternoon.

I hate the end of september

i dunno, not sure if i can trust a Canadian, especially one THAT tall

yeah, end of the riding season sucks. we still have some decent weather for another month or so, but the leaf peepers will be out clogging up the roads, and the leaves will be falling on the roads making them kinda slick. i am hoping to go on a day trip to New York City next saturday for an annual Remember 9-11 ride, right down to Ground Zero. i have yet to go there, so hopefully i can make the ride. then Sherry and i are supposed to go visit Gary and some others down in VA the following weekend, and then the next sunday is an annual Witch Ride. last year there was around 6000 bikes, should be more this year.

Went up to Colorado this weekend. I was completely unsuspecting about leaf watchers. Peak weekend Took me 2-1/2 hours to get from Independence Pass to I-70. A bazillion trees out there and people would stop halfway in the traffic lane to take pictures of that "special tree" that they couldn't see anywhere else in the whole world. [rant off] I'll post some pictures later.

yup, those be the people
not fun sitting there in traffic, is it. trouble is that usually a good riding road also has beautiful scenery, so that's where they go.

sunny and 78 today. i need to get to the hardware store and buy some washers to space my right floorboard away from the new pipe. the pipe transitions vibrations to the floorboard and puts my feet asleep.

I might go for an afternoon ride.

23+'Celcius here this afternoon. Looks like the makings of an Indian summer in October.

Yee-ha!
