Kinda shaken up...

We just found out Deb has Type 2 Diabetes...

*sigh*

Someone upstairs just doesn't want her to live a normal life

Thanks, Dave... gotta lot of research to do. I know her diet will change and, subsequently, so will mine. I need to support her in any way I can

I'm sure you will do all you can do for her, I couldn't imagine you doing anything else, I think the lifestyle change would be the hardest part, we all have things we enjoy, that we know really isn't good for us, lets see, a big piece of chocolate cream pie or some granola, hmm....actually they have came a long way with foods that are safe for diabetics, I've tried some and was surprised how tasty it was, it is what it is, gotta make the best of it.

I appreciate that, Dave...

If diet doesn't control it then, yeah, insulin daily it is. We're hoping we can change the eating habits enough to avoid that. She's on so many other meds due to her spinal stenosis and nerve damage, I'm just really afraid for her to try and balance more in the mix

Her readings are pretty high so I imagine we'll have to be pretty agressive at first. We're really hopin' diet will do it
