The perfect house for motorcycles

We looked at a house today that would work perfect for the bikes. The house is situated sideways on the lot, so instead of facing the street, it faces the house next door (sounds kind of weird but it isn't), with the side of the garage being closest to the street. The driveway comes up from the street, past the garage, and on to the back of the yard where there's additional parking (the lot is very long--it's 1.4 acres). The cool thing is that you could back your bike out of the garage onto the flat driveway so that you end up facing the street, then just pull out onto the street and ride away. I love it! At our old house, I always turned my bike around in the garage so I could ride straight out rather than back down the hill of the driveway. And turning the bike around in the garage is a giant PITA.

I think we just might make an offer on this house. :-)

very cool Julie !

you have to remember though, the driveway at your old house wasn't that conducive to backing a motorcycle down. you know, like Scotty and D's.

so, what town are we talking about ?

sounds like it would be ideal. Pictures would help. Are you buying or renting.

We were there today, doing the inspection (we're buying). I don't think these pictures really show how the driveway is arranged, but they DO show the yard. There's a ton of off-street parking in the back of the property. You can drive into the driveway, go to the rear of the property, and turn around and drive straight out! It's pretty cool.

We're going to have a party after we move in. There's off-street parking for at least 25 cars. :-)

Google Maps says it's 3070 miles to get there. You won't be offended if I can't make the housewarming, will you?
