New (to me) Pipes on the V2k

My bike came with HK Strippers on it when I bought it. they looked OK and sounded OK but being so short with not much of a baffle, they were really obnoxious, had a high crackling sound and never really toned down even at cruise. I've been wanting to replace them with something different, something more toned, something a bit less on the irritating side.

here is the Strippers

and Now with the New (to me) HK 3" Bigs

They sound much better, deeper, throatier, calm down at idle but come alive when you twist the grip. I'm quite happy with the upgrade in sound.

I gotta get some spacers for the floorboard, it touches the lower pipe and picks up vibrations and numbs my foot.

As much as we love the Venture for our trips and touring, I sure miss the 1500. Damn, wish I'd kept her after I bought the Venture!!

looks great Dave

Appliances and electronic devices derive their power from smoke. If the smoke escapes, they will no longer work

Those are some LONG pipes you've got there, Dave. Very nice! Can't wait to hear them.
