Winter is showing up early

UGH!!!!!!!!!!! We are in a winter storm watch here starting tomorrow thru friday.....6 to 12 inches of snow with 50mph winds.....I'm not ready for that, and on top of that they are prediciting strong thunderstorms tonight before the front moves thru.

Appliances and electronic devices derive their power from smoke. If the smoke escapes, they will no longer work

I thought it was going to snow here last night because Denver was getting snow and it snowed in the mountains. But the storm missed us. Whew!

Did you see the pictures Jim posted of all the snow they got in Red Lodge? I am NOT ready for winter!

Yesterday, it rained here and it was really windy. I was standing at the dining room window, looking out at the trees in the back yard. When I first started watching, one particular tree had almost all its leaves (which had turned brown). Ten minutes later, it was completely bare. It was interesting watching the wind blow the leaves off like that. It was like someone took a gigantic leaf blower to the tree. :-) Sad to see the trees becoming bare, though.

Deron, it snowed off and on last week here! It is now back into the 60's during the day, but was only 21* when I went to work this morning. Seems like it is getting cooler a lot sooner then normal.

The worst part is the geese are flying, at 15,000+ feet, and by-passing us altogether ... GRRRRRRRRRR!

I just hope that the rain/wet doesn't ice over before the snow falls, that's a dangerously slick combination for the roads.

How're you hangin in there today Deron?
