i still cannot upload my avatar!!!

I couldn't upload mine, either, so just pointed it to my website where it's stored. That seemed to work OK for me, but not everyone has their own website, either. . .

Ok I tried uploading a jpg ile that was 250 x 250 and 47kb and the upload failed.

Am I doing something wrong?

Nope, that's the problem they're trying to fix. I downsized mine from 250 X 250 to 80 X 80 and that didn't help, either. I guess the good news is, it isn't you

I have tried with a Jpeg and gif and can't get it upload. It is now several months later and still not able to get it done.
