Default Crashing sux

Well, it happened today. It's supposed to be in the 70's today so I left the house at 8:00am for a 400 mile road trip. Well that trip came to a screeching halt.....literally. I was on 36 heading east, as I was going thru Seneca(about an hour from home) a frickin blue haired old bat made a left turn....right in front of me. So it was a head-on with her, she had the same old B.S. excuse "I didn't see you". I'm ok, awful damn sore, I went over the bars and took out her windshield with the back of my head and my shoulders. Got up, shook it off and started yelling at the old bat, she took off running and hid in a store until the cops showed up. There were lots of witnesses including a couple sitting on their front porch that saw the whole thing. The cops were very cool about it reassuring me that it was not my fault in any way, shape or form. She's got insurance and I already got that ball rolling. My Mean Streak is trashed, both fenders, side covers, gas tank, motor mount, mirrors, foot peg are what I've found so far. The irony was that her son-in-law gave me and my bike a ride home, he was a nice guy and very apologetic. I'm pretty damn sore, but nothing broken or bleeding, ride safe and ride like everyone is out to kill you.

Oh man, that does indeed suck.

But what doesn't suck is you're still here to tell us about it. Glad all you are is sore mate, could've been a lot worse.

You'll get yourself back on the road soon, I'm sure of that, just rest and heal up for now.

Do get checked out anyway , I've had a few knocks on the head in my time and not all or any of the symptoms showed up right away .

I'll make it a consensus , You're walking , you're bruised but walking and it could have been much worse .

Thanks for the positive thoughts guys! The meanie will be fixed, although it's probably done for the winter, at least I still have the 900 to ride I'm just sooo thankful that my wife decided to sleep in instead of riding with me today.

The good part is that you lived to tell the tale. It could have gone totally different. Hope the soreness goes away soon.

Glad you're relatively OK. Get your teeth checked before agreeing to any insurance settlements.

Later,

Charlie
