Default Boots

What do y'all wear for boots on your bike? I've gotten 2 pair of HD boots and neither have lasted me a year. The first was Brake boots and the zipper broke. The second was a higher topped boot and the sole is pulling away at the heel. I paid $100+ for each pair.

OTOH, the Brahma boots I got from Wal*Mart for $25 in 2004 are still goin' strong.

Maybe I've just had bad luck. How 'bout everyone else?

I wear the Timberland Pro Titan, I have one pair for work and another pair for riding, when my work pair wears out, I rotate my riding pair to my work pair and get a new riding pair, I never did wear out my last pair, they were just so nasty looking I couldn't stand it anymore, they were about 1 1/2 years old, construction sites are hard on boots, plus they don't weigh a lot and are pretty comfy to me.

i usually wear by Georgia Lineman/Logger boots from work, but they were getting pretty beat up so i finally bought an actual pair of riding boots. went with the new ones from Icon that are waterproof. wore them for half of my trip to Red Lodge and i like the a lot. i think they were $120 or so, which is about $80 less than my work boots with more protection where it is needed on the bike.

steel toe, steel shank and EH rated. the cheapest ones are about $120, but the proper logger style ones with the heel start around $175 depending on the brand. some go up to about $300.

I'm about 2 years plus with HD FXRG boots. They are waterproof with thinsulate and gortex. I can attest to them being waterproof. THey do not have zippers so they are not a really quick to get off an on.
