Default Weekend Ride

An accident of schedules and Masrilyn and I both had a 3-day weekend starting on Friday.

Headed out about 9:30 and got to San Antonio, New Mexico at lunch time for a Burger. Number 7 on GQ's 20 best burgers in America:

http://men.style.com/gq/features/full?id=content_2526

Not much to look at from the outside but they make a mean green chili cheesburger.

to be continued:

There's more.

Stayed overnight at Elephant Butte and headed west on 152 Saturday morning.

The weather was threatening

Fortunately these were only turkeys in the road on the way up

Turned north on 35 to head for the Gila Cliff Dwelling National Monument and got a good view of the Gila River Valley

Pictures at the Cliff Dwellings. These 800 year old structures are as they were found, not rebuilt.
