It took me 15K miles to go from a 500cc bike, to a 1000cc vtwin sport bike. The TL also scared the crap out of me for a few thousand miles before I was confident about my ability to not do something really stupid.

Some people don't possess that healthy fear (or respect as I like to call it) for machinery. They just assume they are in control no matter what and ZOOM! away they go.

Man, ya gotta take your time. As soon as you feel like you "own" that piece of machinery, it *will* come up and show you that you don't.
